Solving a $100 million problem with a $5 solution – now THAT is lateral thinking!

They had a problem with the Ares rocket (back when the programme was still alive) where it was vibrating so badly they couldn’t make out what was on the heads-up displays, which is a bit of a problem. And all it took to fix that was vibrating the screens at the same frequency and some very cheap circuits.

Now, if only every other problem was THAT simple.
